mine is the v2 and here's the page that say's that it takes 1-8gb sd card

http://robotbirds.com/images/Flycamone2.jpg

left click on the centre of the page displayed to enlarge it

am I wrong????? it say so in technical data listing

anyway only paid 4 quid for card delivered and it comes with a card reader so can always use it as as a backup device for my piccy's

Here's a link to the site where I got mine... and it defa sd card
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300172284011&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_RCRX_Pr4_PcY_BID_IT&refitem=300171418839&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&usedrule1=CrossSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget
I too saw that page on Robotbirds web site so I looked at the original site and emailed Flycamone.

The original site
http://www.flycamone2.com/index.php?id=20&L=3 (goto top left and highlight flycamone2 then select technical data)
and the Emil replied confirmed the 2GB thing.
The reason is SD cards bigger than 2GB are called SDHC (high capacity) and a have a different format

Some info taken form here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital_card
Compatibility issues with 2 GB and larger cards

Compatibility with 2 gigabyte and larger SD cards has been poor, due to the SD/MMC protocol's using a 32-bit address field denominated in bytes. The SDHC standard addresses this limitation by using 32-bit block addresses instead. Both SD and SDHC are traditionally accessed as 512-byte blocks on 512-byte boundaries, so the change to host software or firmware is minor but required. Before SDHC was standardized, various manufacturers "extended" the SD control block fields for their 2 GB and 4 GB cards in different ways. Those cards are incompatible with many SD and some SDHC devices, as they conform to neither standard. All SDHC readers work with standard SD cards.[8]
Many older devices will not accept the 2 GB size even though it is in the revised standard. The following statement is from the SD association specification:
"To make 2 GByte card, the Maximum Block Length (READ_BL_LEN=WRITE_BL_LEN) shall be set to 1024 bytes. However, the Block Length, set by CMD16, shall be up to 512 bytes to keep consistency with 512 bytes Maximum Block Length cards (Less than and equal 2 Gbyte cards)."[9] Since all cards up to and including the 1 GB card use a fixed 512 block size, some device drivers do not handle the larger block size and will not even recognize the 2 GB card. For example, the SanDisk web site shows examples of devices such as the iPAQ 1910 that will support only 1 GB cards and the Epson Photo RX300 Technical support says they support only 1 GB cards in the SD slot. Users of many early card readers have found that they also support only cards up to 1 GB.

I am not saying a larger card won't work but just warning you incase it don't. If it does work please let others know as I ordered 2 x 2GB cards (1 for still camera and 1 for my flycamone2) and a being able to use a larger card would be bonus.

Can't believe the price from that eBayer ..... £5 for 4Gb. Still I think I'll hang back and wait to see.
Can you post if you get the SD card safely and it works OK. Just seems like it's too good to be true. I'm a little wary of the feedback score too.....although to be fair it's hardly the financial gamble of the century is it.

So how do you go about stablising the image while on a Heli.

I love the servo mount, but what use it is if you cant watch it live ?

It has no transmit features ?

i really want a 2 or 4 way micro camera for when i learn to fly properly :p

but there hard to find

When the flycamone v2 arrived there was a notice that basically said that a SD card greater than 2GB can not be used with the Flycam as previously staed on their web site.... It's very impressive .. not be able to use on heli yet as weather has not been to good for flying... SAo I bought 2gb one in readiness.. both cards arrived from HK safely and in good time
