Now correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this sound like an admission by a religious person that religions cause war.

Religion and/or God(s) were originally invented by people with little sense of the world around them to explain various things, the sun in the sky, crops failing, etc etc. Then as man became more educated, religion was used by the few to control the masses and still is.

Unfortunately the need to 'believe in something' has been built in to the human psyche for thousands of years and is inevitably passed from one generation to another via various mediums (such as churches) which just keeps perpetuating the whole sorry process. For me the notion that everything we see before us today was 'created' by a superior being just doesn't do it for me.

I'll live my life easy knowing I'm going to die one day, not live my life worrying about what happens after I die ;)
