        on the other hand the water works a litle like the water in vodka reducing its calorific value water and petrol mix....water and diesel on the other hand dont and as stated the water would end up at the bottom and be sucked up as diesel is lighter than water.

          Of course the most likely contamination is miss fuelling as in petrol in a diesel ( very common) or diesel in petrol ,supposed to be impossible as the diesel nossel won't fit in a petrol kneck , but hey it happens !!

          Oh who does it most ???..........
