I've seen that before and it is disgusting... I dont think its the japanese but vietman or philipines... but I have to say.. its not everywhere.. it only takes one sicko from one place to tarnish everyone from the far east as proven in this thread.

From what I hear, the head is wrapped and cooled to keep the head part alive while the back end is infact fried, and covered in sweet and sour sauce.

**** political correctness - I hate some foreign cultures at times. We're not perfect and have our flaws, but how can this be considered OK and "luxury" in ANY culture?

Animal cruelty IMO is even worse than cruelty to humans. Humans are at least cognitive, and have the option to understand and fight back. What have animals ever done to deserve such treatment?!

Call me naive, but I'm a genuinely disturbed by this news. As Tim says by saying "I thought I'd seen it all", people never cease to amaze me, and not in a good way.

Seems to be the exception rather than the norm. One of the links on the wiki page was from the China Post.
