It was made using just a few cameras by a few actors, its free to download and watch. They have just completed episode 2 with five more to come shortly. Its internet download only but the production and story line is fantastic. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes a really good scifi story.
Episode One: This 35-minute sci-fi pilot revolves around the discovery of an object from space, a lost cosmonaut and the U.S. government’s efforts to contain the situation. The production values are impressive given the low budget, and the scripting, acting and direction are solid. If you enjoyed the slightly talky but eerie Quatermass series, Pioneer One would probably be right up your alley
Episode Two: The PIONEER ONE story continues with new episode “The Man From Mars”, funded and distributed by YOU! Producers Josh Bernhard and Bracey Smith have built on the success of the series pilot, produced for just $6000 and released through VODO June 2010 to an audience of millions. On the back of these three new episodes, releasing from now through January/February 2011, Bernhard and Smith are aiming to raise $60,000 to finish the last two -- including a spectacular season finale
