I would think they run on 3s 2200 like in the trex 450 Ben.
Seems to be a raft of these small park fliers coming through now.
Wonder if the thing high speed stalls like the park zone extra 300 :puke:

I'm using a 2200mAh, 3cell Flightpower, the one's that I use in my Mini Titan. To be honest, there's not any room for anything bigger!

I like Chris Foss's design - there is always something special about his touch and somehow they always stand out from the rest. I still have my advanced Middle Phase and Phase 6 - love them. :)

Have been thinking about converting WOT 4 to electric but if he has done that already then I should just go and buy it.... might do...hmmmmm:)

            Cheers :cheers2:

              Hi,
I bought one for my 9 year old son to learn with. It's a great plane for training or aerobatics. Dumb it down and it's nice and floaty and docile. Up the rates and it'll do most things.
However we have a problem with it. Maidened it yesterday afternoon. Found it was running low on power in less than 4-5 mins. Using 2200 3s 30c batts. Bought it in and the esc is incredibly hot as are the batteries. So went back to the model shop yesterday and he swapped the esc for a 40 amp one. Something that concerned me was the motor, esc and battery are very enclosed. There is no airflow over any of it. I have cut some neat holes in the front to get some air in there.
Flew again today and had the same problems. We also flew with the motor cowel and spinner completely removed. 4 mins in and again loss of power. The motor was very hot. The esc was hot and my battery was mega hot and swelling. Not good. Going to take it back tomorrow and get the motor changed as this is the last thing that could be wrong. I have flown all of my batteries in my extra 300 and I do about 8 mins and the esc, motor and batteries are always cool to luke warm at worst.
We love the wot 4 foam-e as a plane but can't figure the electrics issue. Hopefully the new motor will solve it. I still feel the lack of airflow into the esc compartment is a major design flaw though. Keep an eye on your temps when you land and take the battery out.
              Cheers, Rich

I still have my Wot4 with a OS 46 pumped motor in it from about 14-15 years ago. I too was thinking about converting to electric, but with all the Heli's and my foamies, guess anymore and er-in-doors might say something! (There again could be "Tea's ready love"!!):)

^^ I'd be very interested to what size motor? What is the weight of the model including Bx etc? Any watt marked on the motor. I know it is 500kv and that's all.

                  Cheers
