Make sure you have a nice long field to land in, even after dropping the power off, it will glide at a fair old pace. Keep good power on during turns, dont slow it down too much or it will easily stall. If you are belly landing on grass, then let it float as long as possible before touch down. The grass can dig into the foam quite easily and start to make it look tatty.

Thats my experience after a week of flying an EDF! Great fun though!

      Thanks for the tips :)

The guy I got it from has offered to be there for my first flight so I may take him up on the offer.

Good idea. Best to get him do a couple of circuits and talk you through it, then have ago yourself.

You will quickly pick it up i reckon

Hopefully I will get the hang of it. I have flown a couple of other club members planes and have flown the edf jets on the sim.

At the end of the day I only paid £25 for it with 2 lipos so if i smash it up its no big loss :)

Put a wide strip of glass reinforced clear tape along the belly of the plane to protect it from scuff damage on landing.

You can slow them down for landings by small inputs of up elevator into wind with no throttle, been doing it with my sqaull and now landing at my feet

VBControl, but not the gay white version as i'm simply not gay enough to pull it off!

I've seen them fly very well (you already know it). They look very impressive at about 50-70 ft high and during low passes. Don't forget to put a video on this thread.

                Happy flying and safe landing
