  • SKY HD 12 months half price offers?

was anyone lucky enough to get in on the leaked offers for sky HD that are kicking about?

looks like lots signed up but muggins here missed the boat.....again....DOH.

just curious if anyone had any issues with them honouring it as other forums suggest no issues. it appears to be leaked codes from friends and family. i guess the guy could argue the internet is his family!

i'm about to change to sky HD from virgin so half price would have been nice..oh well.

    cheers

I changed from sky HD to virgin, it's a better service with all the catch up stuff and 000's of programs and whole series you can watch at anytime.

Toward the end all I kept getting was probs with my HD boxes so at 11 years with sky I changed :)

A friend of a friend is a Sky engineer and he reckons that once the 3d service launches this year the £9.75 extra they currently charge for HD will be dropped.

They are already starting to phase the current sky plus box out so the only 2 options will be HD or 3d.

3d will carry an extra monthly premium as sky plus used to and HD does now but HD will be no extra charge above what you pay for your channel pack.

They have been keeping it quiet and reducing the price of the HD box which is now free to draw as many people in as possible until they do.

Their current market strategy is to push the HD service like hell so i will just wait for now.

If you sign up to a 12 month contract now you are commited to paying the £9.75 for a minimum of 12 months.

If you look at their website, they dont offer anything but the HD box now, plus box has gone

I've got sky hd being installed for nothing tomorrow! Being an exsisting customer, they called me last week and said I can have HD for nothing for 12months and could cancel after that if I don't want to continue !
At last they seem to be recognising exsisting customers !

They were good to me. I used to ring up every couple years saying I leaving for a better deal, let's just say I had everything with them for a great price in the end.

Just a shame about the service :(

i'm going to keep my virgin broadband package, but i want more HD channels like discovery hence the change.

i'll see if more half price codes appear.

              cheers
