Neither did I Paul. I thought the extreme g-forces put on the glider would of torn the stitching (assuming the material is stitched at some point) or buckled the frame.

The airframe is tested to +6g and -4g.
The wing behaves a bit like a sailboat/windsurfer sail and when you pull +g it twists out reducing the angle of attack at the tips, so its actually really hard to pull excessive +g - you have to be quite brutal such as when he dives for the loop if he pushed out too suddenly he could conceivably break it - but more likely it would twist and get very draggy and then not have enough speed to complete the loop.
The most dangerous thing is to stip upside down becuase then you fall onto the wing and put the C of g in completely the wrong place - or just hit the wrong bit and break it.

The glider stalls at about 16mph, max glide is about 14:1 at 35mph, 10:1 at 50mph max speed is about 80mph 7:1 or worse.

Structural failure is rare and usually preceded by involuntary aerobatics in turbulence, or failed deliberate aerobatics.
