  • CESSNA 172 - all electric

Could not resist myself buying this little beauty. Everything included in the "box" - except Rx and Tx. Brushless motor and even navigation and landing lights. Building was a breeze - done in 3 hrs! Yet to have its maiden.

      'Cool.

I am about to get a small electric plank soon after recently seeing a few flying and it seems like an easy way to get into fixed-wing and then see how it goes.

I see one of these at the field the other week and it flew even in the strong winds.

Surprising considering its so light but it looks like fun :D

          @ Trillian -
If you're thinking of getting a RC electric as first a/c then I'd suggest getting Hobbyzones' Super Cub - I think foam is more dense and should stand better against any nose dive ending on terra firma. Super Cub includes Tx and Rx and it is very user friendly model.

The model will need some minor modification (as is common with most RTF) which would ensure crisps control responses.

EDIT : Wing span is wrongly described in the thread - it is 48".

A new site which shows the latest version + A special offer - it will be cheaper after Christmas I presume.
