    Wow….

I have a crushing fear of heights. Especially being exposed like that at height… all the safety in the world i could not do that. So as far as I'm concerned, you are superman. Nerves of steel mate, respect.

I get terrified at the top of a 6ft ladder lol….

Awesome, you got plenty of lift that day then! :)
What sort of height did you launch from?

There was only this few moments that I didn't have all round visibility, and I'm in see and avoid airspace where we are all relying on looking out for eachother. Fellow gliders would be in the same clear lifting air I was in except when trying to get from one side of the could to the other. My flight took me close to the edge of Manchaster TMA line at Chapel en le frith but I was always well clear of the controlled airspace above me (Deventry CTA at 4500, and 5,500 then area A2 at FL65 east of Tideswell). So little chance of encountering other unseen aircraft.
The instrument beeps on climbing and drones on descending and is a necessity for soaring flight once you are more than a few hundred feet above the ground.
I was a bit cold at the highest point (6300ft near tideswell). I launched from Lords Seat, overlooking Edale at about 1500ft. I was able to fly to somewhere near Great Longstone (south of Eyam) and back again to where I took off.

and I also have a very uneasy feeling looking over the edge of a cliff and I can barely tolerate standing on a ladder.
On the hang glider its totally different!

Mexico was interesting. We flew many days, every day had good weather until the last two which were cancelled. however my own performance was disappointing, 38th I think. and also the UK team was 5th or 6th.
Our best pilot lost a lot of points on a technicality - supposedly 2meters outside of one of the 400m radius turnpoint cylinders. He lost half a days score on that and we still think the organisers were wrong. With the data for his flight and the data for the turnpoints nobody has been able to reproduce his flight path without it going through the cylinder. Anyway that left a bit of a bad taste...
My problem was we were not getting as high as last year, so we were vey close to the ground a lot of the time - and I found that difficult to deal with psychologically.

Anyway next worlds in in Brazilia, which is a much nicer place to fly!

Thor, I don't know a hang gliding school in Denmark, but you can look for Trikevalley in Belgium - they are very good, or there are schools in Germany, Sweden and Norway that I could find details for.
