I know not heli :D I needed a set of wing cores for a fast wing I'm building based on the Ritewing Demon. I'd emailed Ritewing but they're into FPV and not interested in running a single core for me as a one off. I advertised on BMFA for a Demon even if it was fubarred I just needed the wing section. A guy replied and said that he'd had a pair of Ritewings in his loft for a couple of years a Demon 50 and a TL 40, a deal was done and I was a happy man, or so I thought. They arrived and when I put them together realised I had 2 left cores of the wing I was after the D50, well peed off.
So not to be beaten I measured and plotted the D40 (as it turned out to be) on graph paper and took a photo of it. I'd had a bit of a trawl round the net and had found FoamWings.co.uk a guy by the name of Barry Johnson in deepest Wales. I asked him if he could replicate the wing section faithfully to the original and obviously he said of course I can. I sent him the image and by return he sent a quote to reproduce the section in EPP, £39 lighter I waited for the cores to arrive. Well, I got them this morning and to say I was happy with the result is an understatement, absolutely mm perfect to the original. In fact I could take the right hand core and marry it to one of the original left hand ones I bought they're that good. Supplied complete with their beds and sent by courier
So, if you feel the need to source a supplier of foam wings, bits look no further, Barry at Foamwings is your man
