  • Silly me

Well that's my first Tip over Crash!
My mini titan New may I say with only 2 flites only gone and tipped over just on the point of lift off!
well talk about a dieing fly. Snapped main blade, bent main shaft, Stripped Aile & Elev servos,
possible feathering shaft. The first 2 flites were fine, inverts, we're stable.
Just don't understand why this happened,
nothing has changed since last Flite? AR well more money!
the mini Titans are mental. !!! perhaps this is the time to make it flybarless?

the question is WHY? only flybarless are prone to tipping over while on the deck ....make sure your not the cause i would say....check your tx for inadvertently reversing switches or trims pushed all the way over by accident, if all is ok then start checking that all the linkages are tight and in place and no screws have fallen out as the flybar system keeps it stable and is a mechanical correction and prevents tip overs by the nature of what it is...
    cheers

You have me of what you've said and is correct, the Flybar system was at fault, one screw that had red yes red lock tight on the screw had come adrift which stopped the Flybar system from working this jammed the control bar from doing its job hence the tip over, and is my fault for not checking the Titan over first.
      thanks for your reply.

always nice to find a mechanical fault less self blame apart from the preflight check!!!

I fly off grass which is a bit uneven and can get a bit long on occasions so I fitted the Trex 500 skids which give her a wider and slightly higher stance but I still managed a tip-over on Sunday though whilst taking off due to a sudden gust of wind from the side with gusts of up to 25mph recorded at our field. All the usual casualties plus a nice blade crease in the tail boom, Hitec 5084MG tail servo case smashed, a nick in the tail servo holder and one boom support chopped in half!! All back together and raring to go now though. Barry
