Had the pleasure today of meeting Heathy, Gashead, Nick b, stoner Mark, Mark E and a couple more guys, after I made the trip(with my mate ) to Wiltshire to relieve Heathy of his Synergy E5. We were then treated to a good 2 hours of the best heli flying I've ever seen. One manoeuvre by Mark was a little too close to the ground, breaking a tail link, bouncing back into the air, piro-ing like a dervish, only to be controlled and landed. Brilliant save Mark. Undeterred, the next heli came out for a pasting.
I was asked if I was going to get my Logo out for a fly, but in the present company, serious embarrassment ensued and the Logo stayed in the car!!
They certainly showed us the "proper" way to go flying. Tables, gennies, a mower
, the lot, oh, did I mention the ring burner nuts?? Nothing like our outings, when the batteries are all flat, packing up and home time follows, bloody amateurs by comparison haha!
Anyway, back to my thanks bit. Not only did I get the E5 for a really good price(never seen another SH one for sale even), he gave me another almost complete airframe and as I had said I couldn't afford it, after paying for the E5, he has let me pay him next week
. Bear in mind, this is the first time we've ever met, it kinda blew me away, to be perfectly honest!!
So, a massive thank you Graham, for your kindness and hospitality today! I'm sure if Boggy clocks this thread, there'll be another EGS winging it's way to you're sig
.
Have a good fly tomorrow and please pass my thanks on to all that were there today for showing us how it should be done.
