  • Measurement request T-rex 700 TT

    Hey guys...

    I'm looking to replace a part in a scale project and I was wondering if someone could help me out with some measurements?

    I've attached a pic with the measurements I'd like to know, I'm pretty sure "C" is 6mm but just wanted to double check on that one. To be Clear, "A" is the step to step distance.

    Basically I'm using a non-Align scale like tail, but it looks suspiciously like they are using carbon copy Align parts as regards the TT components... I was hoping someone could help me verify this before I waste my money

    Thanks for any help guys

    I don't have the upgrade tail in the picture, but length wise, nothing has changed (they just got rid of the step down at the last bit for the tail hub). If no one comes back to you, I will measure my old 700 when I get home.
    Cheers,

      Yeah either new or old tail will be fine for measurements (well apart from the tip as you say, I think this is 6mm though), the pic was just for reference

      Cheers!

        Without taking the heli apart, these are the approx dimensions.

        A. 24.5
        B. 81.5
        C. 6
        D. 24.5
        E. Can't measure.

        Hopefully someone else can get the exact measurements if they have the spares lying around.

          Cheers bulldog - I hope your A is wrong though lol, I'm getting 28mm on my scale tail box's shaft.

          All the other measurements you gave look the same as what I have in my hand.

            It 'could' be, but its hard to tell without dismantling the tail box. I measured to the inside edges, but its possible the bearings make it sit further out I guess?

            widest part of the inside of the tail box is 27mm,

              Hmm... Cheers.

              Hopefully someone with a spare can confirm - I don't expect anyone to dismantle the tail box for me lol.

              Thanks for the measurements though - even if your "A" is correct the rest are fine which means I could make it work with a spacer tube.

                Just got a reply from midlands - the measurements are as follows

                A = 28
                B = 83
                C = 6
                D = 25
                E = 12

                Which is great news - it's a drop in part for me

                Thanks for the help
