  • JP Starter with Built in LiPo :D

    Hi

Decided I really needed a cordless starter and as the Align ones are expensive I thought I'd do a DIY job. Normally you have them hanging underneath on a tray or rubber mounts, but again more money. So I took one of my 3S 2100's from my 450 and figured it'd fit in the frames just right. So I stripped the starter down, looks pretty mint I have to say (got it 2nd hand with my 600n). Offered the battery up and yep it'll slip in there nicely .

So out with the trusty dremel and half an hour later.........

    Nothing to see here :

    Oooo Perfect fit!!!!

There is a tiny bit of play in there, it's not tight at all and best of all it hasn't increased the size of the starter. Just gotta re-solder the EC3 on and I'll be good to go . I'm gonna braid the balancing cable as well to protect it and make it look neater.

    Cheers

    Andy

That's looking good. I had a similar one but my starter gave up. Bought an another jp starter but after two field days it gave up too. I went and bought an align one.
