voltage regulator

Hi my titan x50 is finally off the ground the only slight problem is the nimh pack is making it slightly nose heavy was thinking about changing to a 2s lipo pack with a voltage
regulator which would make it a lot lighter up front , i have an align 2in1 but with the x50 there is not a lot of room to fit it in so a regulator on its own would be a lot smaller.
can anyone recomend a good regulator and what size 2s should i use,

Yep get rid of the 2in1 the fromeco sahara
is quite straight forward and only about
45 quid and comes with deans fitted

Hey.

You could fit a LiFe pack, this will negate the need for a regulator entirely and simplify the installation.

Definetly as above loose the 2in1, it's a shame as it's a great unit with the built-in glow driver, but at 6amps output for FBL use is limited now and has been known to show power brownouts on the bench.

If you wanted a regulator and LiPo setup, the Gyrphons are nice units but pricy, but Thunder Tiger do a nice 8amp unit for around £25 which will fit the bill nicely.

I have changed from Nimh to life. very quick and simple. (just make sure your servo's are ok for 6v.)

thanks for the replies was looking at the thunder tiger 8 regulator but that uses 3s to 12s what size 3s would i get away with as nose heavy is the issue ,

i use a thunder power 3800mah on my 700 dfc, but you might be better with the optipower rx pack think its about 2200 mah at around £21 and its abit smaller
