This is exactly what they did with me over a faulty spitfire. They are the most dispicable crooks in the rc world customer service.
They made me pay £40 for a compete replacement ori could send it back for a refund costing 160 in postage to china despite buying from uk.
Get your money back if you can or just pay to get the replacement.

Well, I hate to be the dissenter here but I have just had what I thought might turn into a nightmare with HK actually end up being perfectly fine.

I ordered 4 x Turnigy 6S 5000mah batteries from the UK warehouse. They arrived within 4 days of order but one of the batteries had a fault... the red wire fell off when I unpacked it!

I went rhough the returns under warranty procedure and apart from a delay of about a week they have sent out a replacement without a quibble. Not only that but they haven't asked for the faulty one back so I should be able to solder the wire back on and re-wrap it and so if things go well I will have a free battery as a result.

I realise that I might be the exception but I just wanted to make the point that HK aren't all bad. I have placed about 10 ordered with them now of values from £20 to £300 and this is the first issue I have had and they came up trumps.

The problem is that they are so much cheaper than even the cheapest here in the UK that even if you get an issue every now and then I just see that as acceptable damage given the prices. I'll continue to use them.

Many of us buy from Hobbyking also, there have been a couple of faulty items but they were replaced without question from Hong Kong,German and especially Uk warehouses so maybe not the exception.

The only problem I've had with HK was when I ordered batts from the German warehouse. They tried to deliver to the village next to mine which has the same street name. Batts got sent back to HK even though the home owner told the delivery man he needed to deliver to my house (our mail does get mixed up & the number of times the meter readers get it wrong) E-mailed HK DE & they refused to post batts back to me unless I paid postage again (which I did)
Stuck to either ordering from HK China or the new UK warehouses since. Been using HK for four years now & that was the only 'blip' But your right the customer service is lacking & returns/credit policy sucks.

I know they do their best to make it unclear, but you are never buying 'from the UK', you are always buying from China.

You may be ordering stock the Chinese company have already positioned closer to you in their UK warehouse, but you are not buying here, you always buy in China.
