Gyro help please?

Hi

My newly acquired TREX 600n came with a GY401 and Futaba S9253 servo. Now I've had 401's in the past and whilst I'm happy it'll work ok, I think a more up to date gyro is in order.

Therefore (not wanting to spend too much as I'll be going FBL soon), I'm thinking either a GP780 or a Quark. I'm comfortable setting up the 780 as I have a 3GX on my TREX 450 pro. I'm guessing both will work fine with my 9253?

Any pros/cons with them? I can get a 780 for £40, or a Quark for £60. Can't think the Quark is £20 better? The 780 seems great in my 3GX.....

I need to check my spares, but I think I have a Spartan DS760 in good working order which you can have for £40

If you bring the heli around to mine, we can set it up to perfection on the bench in a few minutes with the computer interface.

The 9253 servo is a bit weak by today's standards. It was just as fast as the 9254 that replaced it, but it didn't have as much torque. Might be worth checking the 2nd hand pages for something stronger - Fut 9254, Fut 9256, JR 8700, JR 8900, Align.... etc. Any servo will work with the DS760 gyro - they are listed in a drop down box in the PC interface.
