Soldering EC3s

Got a few tips off your video, always struggled with EC3's until now, so cheers.
I was always concerned that if i heated the battery wires too much the heat would transfer down and damage the cells, am i mistaken?

I`ve never knackered a battery from soldering tbh, think u would have to get it very hot indeed to get enough heat to do damage
