saves pulling all your wiring out if you want to change a servo, repair it etc.

Custom wires length easier too. Hope this becomes a standard.

Very useful if you have the servo wires jammed in a bit tight such as on my 450.

              Thats so simple its genius!!

Like you say why hasnt it been done before, because when a servo wire breaks its always right by the servo so you gotta open it up to re solder to the board.

Wonder how good the seal is for oil given some of us still fly dirty nitro..Looks like there is a flange. Great idea :-)

20yrs ago I contacted Futaba to see if they could produce exactly this product ...... Should have gone to JR and avoided the long wait!!

                      About time!! Quick release servos!

Me thinks this could be pre-release for jr 's sbus system

It makes a lot of sense for sbus systems to reduce the number of joints in the cables.

                        Ok ....
But I see another set of DRY JOINTS in the wire, just another point for possible failure, nice retainer clip ......that may get in the way of frames that have the wires inboard and cant bend out the way as easily with the little rubber grommets, a nice sharp edge against the plastic to pinch the wires when it gets bumped transporting it with the servos that have the wires outboard...but yea nice little plugs!would be nice to have the plugs come out 90 degrees from where it is now out the back of the base case

                          Another interesting feature:

"Wide Voltage Series servos have a micro computer to detect incoming voltage and automatically set the right voltage for the motor"

So it sounds like they are going to be regulating voltage in the servo thus removing any variation according to voltage.

Not entirely sure this is a good thing ...

Another connector to fail or vibrate loose.
Can't really see the long term advantage once you have the heli all wired up.
