  • KDE AT600N-MBB-V2 Bearing Blocks & 600n DFC Problems

Bought a set of KDE Bearing Blocks [AT600N-MBB-V2] from Fast Lad for my Trex 600N Pro but they don't fit due to my DFC head.

I did a little more digging and found on the KDE website it says they're not for 600n with DFC but is says nothing about this on the Fast Lad website.

So now I have 3 options...

    1. do I modify my frame to make them fit (they need to be lowered in the frame by approx 5mm)

    2. do I modify a standard main shaft and use a collar (this introduces a few other complications with swash link lengths)

    3. do I sell them on at a loss.

I doubt it I can send them back as I don't have the original packaging...

I'm tempted to mod the frame but not sure about the consequences.... anyone any thoughts or ideas or even any experience making these bearings fit with a DFC head?

It seems a shame to go drilling holes in a perfectly good frame and to do that accurately you'ld really have to take it apart or spend ages making a jig to bolt into the original holes...
That leaves the option of a call to see FL's response and/or selling them on.
Anything else is just more trouble for the future

Spoke to FL's and they are happy to accept return of the blocks without original packaging in return for store credit.... happy days.
