  • South West Heli Fly-In

Good news for the South West, we have just set the date for South West Heli Fly-In.

This will be the 7th year, although we did have to cancel last year due to the waterlogged ground.

So get your diaries out & make a note~ Sunday September 1st 2013.

Bath Model Helicopter Club & Woodspring MAC, event to be held at the WWMAC flying site.
More details will follow closer to the event date.
This years chosen charity is the "Great Western Air Ambulance".

    Thanks

    Pete

Make sure to check out our website for more details, long range forecast is looking good..

Its also very heartening that even in these austere times that shops & suppliers are willing & able to donate some fabulous prizes.

Look forward to seeing you all 1st September 2013.

Hmm, tempting. Not been on here for ages and was going to go to the electric plank event last weekend but ended up busy in the end...

Looking forward to seeing you all there Sunday Sept 1st, I was a flight-line marshal at the e-fly last weekend, only one bl***y helicopter so watching electric planks flying around & crashing all day, although there were a couple of big delta wing planes with 120mm ducted fan motors which were really quick.

              Anyway back to to the Heli Fly-In, so far we have around 30 prizes for the raffle in aid of Great Western Air Ambulance, RC Heli Guru will be bringing a trade stand along with some goodies, lets hope he brings some 700 sized blades as my 700N lost a pitch link Sunday, it looked like a firework in the sky shedding bits of heli all over the field..... so far we have had prizes donated by;

              Just Engines
              CSM
              OptiPower
              Steve Webb Models
              Sunglasses Direct
              Fast Lad
              Phoenix Model Aviation
              RC Heli Guru
              Tooleys RC Toys
              Nexus Modeling Supplies

Dont worry about heating, its summer so warm enough anyway.

                          Look forward to seeing you
