Oh goody you're all saying! - another poll!

So this one came out of a discussion between me and Heathy. The subject is the venerable Blade 450X (not the 400, or the 450-3D) - ie. the one with the AR7200BX flybarless controller. The conversation between myself and Graham was as to whether or not the B450X is regarded as one of the top 450's out there. Not necessarily the best, but certainly up there.

I've thought about how to phrase the question therefore in a way that is a simply "yes" or "no". Being "one of the best" could mean any number of things to different people (eg. value for money, prebuilt versus kit, flight characteristics, durability, support, parts supply, etc.). The most fair question I can think of then is this :-

• Would you recommend the Blade 450X to a friend? (assuming the friend wanted a 450, not a 250, 500 or anything else)

So, thoughts such as "no, because a 500/600 is better" is NOT what we're looking for! This isn't a poll into 450 versus another size. It's specifically about the 450X in comparison to other 450's.

Now do the same poll with the 500 and 550 size and i bet you wont get anywhere near the responce because of the choice avalible.

EDIT : And those manufacturers sometimes make more than one 450 (eg. 450X ; 450-3D )

So to lay my stall out, clearly I would recommend one for the following reasons :-

1/. I've never had any issue with mine. It's had one crash (inverted) which resulted in very minor and relatively cheap damage.
2/. It flies very well - far better than me. You've only got to watch one of the many youtube vids of 3D gurus to see what it can do, and do well.
3/. It isn't very expensive.
4/. Parts are plentiful.
5/. The AR7200BX alone is worth a fair old bit, and is a well respected FBL unit.
6/. Most reviews, including independent ones rate it highly.
7/. I've rarely seen people moan about it.
8/. After market mods seem few and far between - indicating the stock build generally doesn't need mods (excepting the servos, but even then, generally only after a crash as they perform OK, but the plastic gears strip)
9/. etc.

i think its good value for money and i would maybe recommend it but i have heard a bad story or 2 but i suppose u can say this for most.

just about bought one too :P twice but failed lol so i'm now an owner of a 2nd hand 450 pro V2 DFC.


but i would have went for the warp over them all if it had been within budget lol

My point exactly most are just pure rubbish hobbyking, twister, walkera, esky, mini titan just very dated.

But good value for money, yes it is, crashes very well but i cant help looking at it as a toy.

It's not much cop if you fly futaba,hitec or any other tx.
