Did YOU CRASH today

Put the 450 in today, don't really know why, just numb thumbs I suppose. The usual damage, blades, main shaft, flybar, one landing skid and probably feathering shaft. ( I haven't checked that yet). I have all those spares in my "just in case " box.
I have crashed it so many times, it almost rebuilds itself now.

Well my first ever crash today - I thought I was doing so well. Raptor 50, turned side on, tail dropped, possibly due to wind, possibly pilot error. I was only about head height and before I knew it was in the deck.
Damage looked immense, but the main culprits like shaft, all blades, boom, belt (snapped in 3 places) tail fins and main gear lost a few teeth.
Hopefully I can get it back together and in the air soon!...
Shame my align 50 hyper didn't run - seems to be spewing fuel from somewhere... so a bit of a naff day, but onwards and upwards I suppose!

One thing (having never crashed before) - the rx battery was about 20 feet away from the model, and the fuel tank somehow ejected itself too! Amazing...

Protos 500 bashed today,just got too low and made a huge epic crop circle, which broke the blades, belt and cyclic servo gears.

just flying big loops into wind, just getting the timing right so constant every time. Switched 180 & coming round with the wind now behind me-well fast & too low Whumph!-as she bounced off the floor, sceeeching as the gears stripped & she went all bunny eared! Ripped the skids off, along with the base plate, one of the cyclic servos has been killed, main blades goosed, dfc links sheared, boom bent from the blade strike & tail case has a snapped bolt still sat there laughing at me. So just a regular Sunday flight really : )

My Logo fell out of the sky today. Third flight, all seeming well, I was 'bigben'ning at about 25 ft up when suddenly the motor cut out completely. What a horrible noise to experience! I was a little late reacting but managed to get the heli upright but by then had lost quite a bit of headspeed. If only it had been a bit higher up I might have had room to pick up headspeed for an auto, but alas I didn't. . . Rather a heavy landing. . . bit of a bounce. . . but the Logo stayed upright (albeit rabbit-eared)!

Damage so far. . . Tailboom, swash control rods bent, one broken tailboom brace, one nylon bolt sheared.

That's it so far! Not even so much as a mark on the blades!

I'm expecting to have to replace the feathering shaft, but fingers crossed. . .

The culprit? On inspection, the positive wire had come completely out of the EC5 connector. Unsoldered. The inside of the connector looked clean, as if it had never been soldered at all. There was a long melted strip of solder left rattling inside the canopy (I assume that the solder melted during sparking when the connection broke?).
So I can only assume that it was a poorly soldered connector. Rather disappointed in myself for doing a bad job - I thought I'd been really careful when soldering them too.
I've checked all the other connections with a good look followed by a good tug on the leads, and all seem good.
Check your battery connectors!

And they say Logos crash badly - I guess I was lucky this time (Okay, so it was more of a dodgy auto than a crash, but still. . . )

crash.jpgGoing inverted in normal mode. Trust me, it cannot be done. I cannot believe I did not stick it in stunt. I am just starting to go inverted and now this. Well... I will not be making this mistake again. lucky for my, it was close to the grass and as I gave more negative pitch to get back up, I slowed the motor until it stopped, so a fairly light crash. I will be stripping it tonight, and maybe it's not as bad as it initially seemed.

Well used a different tx and THold on other side so stripped the gears off my 130x.

Well I am a complete divot.....

Lucky enough to have big fields owned by my Institute to fly in, went to the field but all the way over I wasn't feeling it. Flew one battery and I was really untidy, still saying to myself that I wasn't feeling it. Loaded second pack took off, as usual at about 15' I flicked into IU except for some ungodly known reason instead I hit TH, low headspeed, no height, not done any auto practice, so it came down in long grass nice and level, but did bust a skid, not sure about anything else until I get home to check her over.

Strange thing, I tried to switch out TH as I have the Auto Bailout function enabled on my Talon90, but nothing happened. I will post this issue in the correct place for any help

Moral of the tale.... If your not feeling it, leave it in the car.

Funnily enough, I did this just last night on my CC Edge 130, but the Talon is the same .
