HC3-SX will it work with just Blade 450 RX?

I have just bought a HC3SX and about to set it up on my practice battleship - my Blade 450 3D. Can I just use the receiver that comes with the model or do I need extra stuff - like satellites?

it's the flybarred version, not the "X". I am reading the manual but it's not too clear.

in that case then remove the eflite gyro and launch into an open fire and fit the helicommand! use the cables to connect to current reciever job done

Is it OK on the 450 3D? I researched this extensively on this forum before I bought it, and every one said it will work on flybar helis. But it will go on a FBL model later. BTW, will the tail boom be earthed? The manual says that the tail boom needs to be earthed

I haven't put a HC3SX on a 450 3D but that is only because I sold my 450 3D!!!

Yes, the HC3SX is great for flybarred helis. It is a superb gyro. The rescue and self levering modes will work too on a flybar machine. Go through the full set up as per normal except on the Rigid page choose "Flybar off".

PS Yes, when you get a FBL heli you can just go through the set up again on that heli but this time don't turn flybar off.
