    the winds back!!

    Well round here it is

    Was flat calm this morning about 9am. Ive met SJM off here to set his B400 up and test fly it for him.

    Errr was too windy for my 90 really!! full collective forwards and it was crawling thru the air LOL

    So All set up for a day of flying, and ive put a tank thru at most LOL

    Never mind theres always tomorrow
    Some say my left nipple is the shape of a Raptor canopy.......... And that for fun I chase sheep in wellies 3 sizes too big. All I know is I am ​3D Clod

        I was gonna have a quick sneaky hover in the garden seeing how good the weather was this morning - by the time I'd finished my jobs the wind was blowing a gale! Ah well!

              Its ridiculous, I went out last night after work. Lovely sunshine, cold but bright.

              I tried doing some funnels and just gave up with that and took to flying up/downwind instead.

              Itd go REALLY fast with no collective and then just stop and spin on the spot with full collective when going into wind! I just couldnt get any sort of even have reasonable elliptical shape.

              So I just went up/downwind, travelling tic tocs, rolls, stall turns etc. Not a lot else you could do, as soon as you exposed the rotor disc to wind it was a nightmare.

              I tried some autos, and it was a case of either falling really fast (Too fast to auto properly) or properly exposing the bottom of the disc to the wind, in which case it'd actually get blown away from me no matter how fast I brought it in to start!!!

                    I don't know if I can believe the forecast for Saturday as it shows the wind dropping right down, we shall see. But yeah, it's like a joke really, freezing cold / snow then no snow but 20mph winds, if the wind dies down and it warms up then surely it will start raining.

                      Rain is forecast up here at weekend!! Geurilla flying might be on the cards LOL

                          Well at least you checked and setup my heli. Thanks Kev.
                          Shame I couldnt do a maiden flight, but didnt fancy running down the field after it.
                          Would have been home before me though.

                              Just tried flying my Husban X4 in the garden for laughs... never seen it shift so fast, through the hedge, into next doors garden lol
