  • replacing balance connectors?

Balancing connectors on my batteries are bit flimsy - recently 2 broke off and shorted, wasting perfectly good battery So I thought I would replace them, but it seems impossible to find balancing connectors in the shops! Any ideas what to do? I'd rather avoid soldering pigtails ...

Attached a picture to demonstrate what I mean. The metal connectors are kept in place, inside plastic housing, by small metal tabs, and these break off too easily. You can see empty space after broken tab on the black cable, below. Need something a bit more sturdy ...

I was hoping for actual connectors I could crimp myself, rather than pigtails to solder .... it's appropriate shop, though, thanks!

RS components do the jst crimps and housings. I have yet to break one so I honestly think you are being a bit heavy handed.

I would of recommended this but the only crimping tool I have ever found is a professional one costing more than it is worth for a hobby.

I've bought some from this guy before:

Micro switches, JST Connectors and Plugs items in inhelume store on eBay!

I crimped them on with smallest jaws on my servo plug crimper.

The wires can be glued together to lessen the load on each lead, or there are clips that make it easier to pull on the housing.
