    What's it called ?

    Hi again chaps , trying to order one of those things that are a on /off switch and a glow start combined on a nitro heli.

    I've searched 2 in 1 on midlands and fast lads but I can't find one. Could you please put me out of my misery ?
    T Rex 600 n pro, Raptor 50 ( on the build table) T Rex 500 , Nano and a Blade 450 ,T Rex 250 ( still in box )
    Aroura 9 , FF9 with specky mod , dx6i
    Oh and loads of Planks.

          Its a shame to replace the whole lot and buy another battery, is there just parts available ? Sorry I'm such a newb !

            Which part has failed?

            The links above are for the voltage regulator and glow driver (i.e. 2 in 1), not the battery.

                I noticed a small amount of corrosion on the switch ! And the glow bit was very intermittent on Sunday. I will give Midlands a call today.

                  Where i have them I prefer the tx controlled glow rather than stuck for a timer and the align 2:1 is notorious for corrosion. i still have one on my 700n .. they are convenient to see rx power remainign etc without taking canopies off but that means they are located in positions that get nitro gunk on them.
                  In the interests of simplicity it's probably better to go HV and direct lipo or LiFe and a simple plug rather than regulator. Apart from the potential extra weight one could stick a cheapo turnigy remote switch on for the glow Turnigy Receiver Controlled Switch on a separate Nihm battery but the remote glow units have a buzzer in conjunction as a memory jog. The commercial units are generally overpriced for what they are.

                    Its all good managed to get a vgc s/h one off a club member which had a chaffed wire ( really must check all my wires) . Fortunately my brother is very skilled with a soldering iron and is on the job now. Got it for a tenner so I'm happy.
