hope this never happens to anyone after seeing the results .pedro was throwing the 600 around today at cuffley in some very hard winds when the ball came off the link It did have thread lock on so dont know why it still came off. anyway here is the damage including bothside frames see for your selves. not good.:-(

OUCH!!! with a capital OW!!!

Post a list of damaged bits... I have several duplicate spares for my 600n which you can have for postage only including some cheap blades (main & tail) to help get you in the air

just not a good thing to happen.I had a quick look and to be honest i couldn't see much that was not damaged .both side frames,front,canopy,boom,torque tube,boom supports,tail link rod,blades,flight pack and possibly.servo gears,feathering shaft,main shaft,gears.so not a lot left :-((

Now that's a horrible state to see a 600 in, pedro mite be better of just buying a brand new 600 DFC kit only now that they are out.

the ball link at the tail end.the one that connects the tail rod to the linkage arm.the ball came unscrewed we think as the screw was still there.

Sounds like it snapped if the screwed section was still there, tough old helis the 600. Hundred and fifty quid will see it back in the air

Ouch, big time! That hurts just looking at it through the computer screen.

I had a link ball come off the swash on my Raptor once, it was one of the ones that connects to the mixer arms and just came loose and unscrewed. Fortunately I was just about to land when it happened so only about a metre off the ground and level. The result was also fairly minor but it scared the bajesus outta me because one blade just went like 90 degrees off in an instant and there was this loud bang and I thought the engine had blown up or something. Damage was a bent feathering shaft and main shaft (but the blade was fine!).

It's a one piece ball and screw Brian so it sounds like it snapped, ouch.

Nasty. Had that happen to my 500 DFC when the DFC link broke.
