  • Should I be worried?

I have just finished the build on my T-Rex 550E. All has gone well... perhaps too well!!!

When I built my T-Rex 450 and went to set up zero pitch at midstick, max pos & neg pitch etc, I had a load of adjustments to make to swash links to get everything right. This time though I am worried that I have missed something because when I went to set up the pitch nothing needed adjusting! Absolutely nothing. I needed to adjust swash links to level swash but that is all... as far as zero pitch and max/min pitch nothing needed changing.

Has anyone else had that? I have checked and double checked everything and even restarted the FBL controller setup from scratch in case I missed something obvious - I am pretty sure I haven't but I have to say I am a little suspicious.

So long as you've got the pitch links accurate according to the manual, you shouldn't really need too much. As you say, aside from levelling swash (which I assume is down to servo and horn variations), then it's not completely surprising.

Just built my 550X and had pretty much the same experience ...

          Should I be worried?

Maybe your build technique has just got better, more methodical and accurate now.

Thanks guys. Yes, I am getting better... or rather than better I suppose I mean more familiar with the parts and how they fit together - which I suppose does make for a better build.

I sharn't worry too much then... let's hope it flies!!!!

            Maiden next Saturday weather permitting.

Hi Paul, Weather allowing it could be a good day. Looks like it could be my 450 maiden too! Can't believe the winds kept blowing this long and this cold for so long.
