New starter ??

Thinking of buying a new starter ?
I have the align one at present and i,m not happy with it
Does not seem to have enough grunt with my 120,s

Was thinking about a Dynatron with makita conversion or Lipo conversion ?

Anybody have any dealings with these set ups

dynatron, robbe wand, 4s 4000mah lipo, will start anything for months before needing charged. had this setup now for about 8 years, worth every penny.

My Align starter is fine on anything smaller but sometimes struggles with the .91s so I got a Dynatron and use it for the .91 engines and the Align if I am only flying .50s. All I did was just solder a Deans connector on and I usually use a 4s Gens Ace 2200mah pack and it copes with just about anything with ease.

I have no problems with my Align starters on my 91 engines but I think the 91 is about its limit.

I don't know about a Dynatron starter, though. I think if I was spenging that sort of money, I'd rather buy a decent cordless drill and a hex shaft

Sullivan Dynatron 12/24 volts had mine for about 10 years now with no problems at all, converted mine to the makita set up a couple of years ago nice and neat.

Also have the Sullivan 6mm hex extension.

Would not have anything else.

Ive just bought a dynatron and its on 5s and it starts everything no prob .deffintly a great setup

No need for lipos. Stick a hex shaft on this

So the general feeling is that the Dynatron is the way to go ?
And I assume the only place to get the Makita conversion is
from the states ??
