Plymouth Flying Sites/Clubs

Can anyone in the Plymouth area help please.......

Am going to be coming down to Plymouth for a two week course on the 13th May and was just trying to look for a potential flying field/club that wouldn't mind a guest during those two weeks in the slim off chance that we had some nice flying weather then? Be good if there was somewhere close to Plymouth where I could get my heli fix at some point during those two weeks..... :-))

Newton Abbot heli club just off the a38 near pennywell farm.

You could get something small like a Blade 130x and park fly it to get you "fix", even something as big as a 450 would be OK if you could find an empty corner of a park.

Other than the above, have a look on the BMFA website for a list of clubs in the area and email them to see what sort of response you get, I'm sure most will be friendly enough to consider letting you fly as a guest as long as you have proof of BMFA insurance.

That sounds great if that's ok, would I have seen your field there in a couple of Chris's videos flying a Trex 700? Looks a lovely spot if its the same place. If its ok with you I'll get in touch with you closer to the time.

All good thanks although 6 hrs a day at the bottom of the Nth Sea has been a bit gruelling this trip. Just on our way back out to sea again to start the next project, 8 days plus a 5 day decompression so should be home by the 13th ish. Which is great news as we were all meant to be going away on the 10th!! Will email you properly in the next day or two.

I hear the Dune is going well though, look forward to hearing all the gossip!

We should be down to the summer spot soon yes that is the one with most of Chris's vids are. Cant miss the site from the main road. Get intouch with me or Chris closer the time.
