My first hover, see it here!

After a week of so of excellent maintenance, repair and life saving by the baron, we got my heli in the air yesterday.

Checked out the video - it was very dark - did you wait untill everyone had gone home ? :lol: :lol:

Err, yup

After final tweaking by the time when got to Epsom it was around sunset, however it wasn't as dark as the video suggests and was safe to fly

Well I thought training gear would not be neccessary due to a massive bout of overconfidence...

No, really, I can't see the point in training gear. I thought that it can't be that bad will such a well set up heli and had seen it hover very well in the garden so felt that I wouldn't need it. As you can see, I kept it in the air for a good few minutes and the landings were nice so I hope to have skipped the training gear stage.

Also, the baron has a hula-hoop which I was going to use which is 1m times better than the balls/legs scenario and it doesn't try to flip you over on a heavyish impact.

Something like that happened to one of my mates.He was under the rear of his car putting the blown out rim and tyre into the tray when someone got in his car and drove off with it!
