Sorry, never going to take part in promotions that are only available on social network sites.

If you want to promote a competition on a forum then the prizes should also be available on a forum, otherwise stick to social network sites to promote social network competitions.

It was in response to the 'anyone else?' comment.

I find it a constant irritation that Facebook promotions have to keep heading to the forums to get people to participate. If Facebook was working properly then it should not need to go elsewhere to persuade people to go and sign up over there.

Why not just use Facebook to tell your 'friends' about it?

If it is necessary to promote it on a forum then something isn't working properly.

Either way I'm sure the people it irritates are fewer than those who want to hear it so just consider this a semi-annual 'bah humbug' in regard to Facebook only competitions being waived under the noses of those who have no interest in pretending to 'like' everything and everybody .

Im on there a fair bit,i don't post much but it's great to see what the other heli pilots who are not on here are up to,theres various heli groups i am part of and there a nice little for sale/swap and wanted group.

actually there is a process ongoing to prevent promotions that require 3rd party signups like social sites we'll see how that will turn out but as continental europe is heavily pushing for it I would think such promotions would vanish soon ...

I checked with them this aft... - and its a real Prize for totally FREE - no catch ! will defo go to one of the 500 that gets their likes past 500.... so why not have a go... ps the more of US on here that "Like-It" will make the prize go to someone who likes helis!!
