  • Car gone due to heli habbit

    Hi Guys
On friday i traded in my wicked Astra VXR for an estate
I am affraid it just aint big enough to hold all the helis without putting the seats down but then the kids cant come flying and that aint no good as the eldest has now started to fly as well.
I am sure i am not the only one that has had to do this, at least i am getting a car with a bit of power, a MG ZT-T V6.
Come on guys, what cars have you got rid of for the heli habbit

The very subject I often think about when loading all the gear up but in reality won't be swapping my VW Golf for anything bigger.

I am in the same boat shoving the rear seats down making room for the helis and giving up two rear seats for the pleasure..

99% of the time I travel on my own so its not an issue..

My mate gazza has a works van with twice the room my car has but often filled with useless works stuff so gets less stuff in than my car..

      How sad is that..

None..My Volvo estate takes all my helis and gear....but it is shite on a wet field, so mI bought a Discovery to enable me to get onto the two fields I fly at.

Has other uses too..tows..loads etc, but really comes into its own at the field

I didn't ACTUALLY have a car of my own, although I have a company car, but its a little small for the helis and planks, so I bought a Toyota Previa which I love, considering the price I paid for it its not a bad vehicle.

lots of room plus it gets used for other things like taking the family away on holiday and today went to the bike show at the Excell with 5 mates, no way we would all have been able to go in the same vehicle in either my other car or any of the others cars(if that makes any sense )
          All the best

i did have a mitsubishi lancer estate that was perfect for the heli's but mrs boggy wanted a small run around so my heli addiction took over and we ended up with a mitsubishi "black hawk" its small but i can get four nitros and all the gear in at a push!

im going to struggle with my car being a mk1 mr2, im going to struggle more when i cut have the rear boot out (which incidently is so small you cant fit more than 3 bags of shopping in) to make space for a v6!

Got a rusty old combi van though, might have to drive that
