I think they call it 'Climate Change' now, seeing as it's not getting any warmer....

I'm sick of the weather now, we usually have our summer on one of the weekends between end of march and end of april, looks like we will just go winter to winter this year!

Back when the boffins started to make noises about the changes in the weather patterns they announced that we were heading for a new ice age. But then the politicos decided there was no money in that and so it was changes too global warming so they could operate their carbon credit scam and all its spin off scams.


Sceptical?... Not me!!!!

It's a worldwide thing Nick no just the UK, was snowing in Vegas not long ago.

It's even been proved that the world temperature and atmospheric carbon cycles follow the deep ocean temperature cycles with about an 800 year lag, so 800 years ago the deep ocean warmed up, which released its disolved carbon which eventually escaped, so it wasn't that carbon was the cause of temperature increases, it was the effect of them, and funnily enough if you track the temperature changes over the centuries and compare them to solar activity over the centuries there is a corrolation which shows it's the sun driving it, as it is on other planets in the solar system which have been observed to follow the same patterns (in their case only in terms of atmospheric/surface temperature, since there are no oceans except some methane ones)...... so our carbon emissions are nothing to do with it, unless the marsians are also driving around in Hummers.

The fact is our worlds climate is a negative feedback one, it had to be otherwise life would never have had the chance to develop in the first place.

But blaming carbon is a nice excuse to tax everyone since taxing people for breathing wouldn't fly, and neither would taxing clouds (water vapour being about 40 times the greenhouse gas CO2 ever is)

No one is denying that the climate is changing, but it is BS that it is human activity that is driving it.

Our climate is at the mercy of one thing..... the sun's activity, and we can in no way compete with that.

And this is after the last year we had with the wettest April on record and the wettest June since whatever. I have had just about as much as I can take of this carp to be honest. At the moment I am planning to fly on Saturday in anything short of an arctic blizzard or a howling gale so we'll see how it shapes up (looks a bit grim at the moment).

It can do, but to enter an ice age it usually needs to be a sustained period before it, we're not experiencing that, what we have is so far only short term and quite variable one year to the next, and if anything its also colder than it was in for example the medeavel warm period, which was followed by the mini ice age, so if another ice age or mini ice age is going to happen it probably wont happen for a while.

If anything can be said now about it, it is too unpredictable to say one way or another what's going to happen with any certainty, and anyone who thinks they can predict what will happen in such a complex system with any certainty is blowing smoke (or CO2 )

The warm period-ice age-warm period-ice age thing is an example of that negative feedback system I refered to, if it was not a negative feedback, if warm lead to hot which lead to hotter or cool lead to cold lead to frickin freezing, life would not have had the chance to have evolved, as the environment would have become to inhospitable too quickly (a matter of a few million years)

So even if we were to increase carbon output (if you accept the rubbish about it driving anything) there are mechanisms in nature that will regulate it, for example higher temperatures would encourage further growth of rainforrest, which would soak up that carbon, among other mechanisms.

Basically if the earth was not capable of self regulation we'd not even be here to worry about it, and if you consider all the sudden massive things it's had to fix that would send a positive feedback system, or unity system into permanent chaos, ie all the ash from the various meteor strikes upsetting it all, it seems to be a very robust system.

I'm not saying we should all go out and set fire to tire dumps and throw toxic waste in every river, I'm just saying we should not accept being blamed for things way beyond our control.

The earth can take care of itself quite well.
