Throttle hold on dx6i

Hi plugging up my new heli and using a dx6i and a hobby wing fun fly 40a esc have set the throttle stick
Position top and bottom as per manual motor running in the correct direction with no power at bottom stick and move stick up motor powers up all ok but when I flick the throttle hold on with stick at bottom
The motor powers up throttle hold value set to - 1 . Any ideas would be great , not had this on my other helis.
