Just use the link above, the whole point of posting it No point in moaning about something thats free, updates that is. I don't understand why they don't have the updates available but who cares when I have them

well it says on their website:

If you have version 2.5 or earlier, we strongly recommend that you update your installation DVD to a new 4.0 version from our online store: Order a new software DVD

couldnt find anywhere that upgrades are generally free, only that updates are free ...

"Use our Automatic Updates system to download new models, flying sites and program updates which are released for free on a regular basis."

update, minor program fixes, v2 > v2.5 >v2.52
upgrade, version change v2 > V3 > V4

maybe they want to cut some costs down and so refer to buying a never installation media ad they dont charge yet for upgrades


btw: I was able to find the 700E DFC colour scheme for phoenix, in case someone is interested ...

Everyone, if you need to upgrade/update from 2.5 I have the files you need. Don't bother buying the DVD as Sev points out above, you've already bought the original dongle/version why should you have to pay out for an update/upgrade that up to about 1 year ago was free.

Oh. and I don't care what it says on their bloody website

Hi there all, and many thanks Dave. Was out of the game for a year due to g/f, and now, being single again decided to resume my skill training via Phoenix (at the moment I'm still a rookie, progressing from single bladed 45 degree flybar helis to single, 90 degree flybar helis, albiet not very successfully) to try and learn to hover efficiently (well successfully would be a start). However my Phoenix is 2.5 even though only bought a little over a year ago. Downloaded your update and its currently updating from 3 to 4.0j, so many thanks again Dave, I will be flying in Phoenix in less than an hour once I've downloaded all the new models rather than having to wait till prob mon/tue for a new dvd.

Cheers Dave, just re-installed it onto my new laptop and realised I couldn't download a V2.5 to 3 update so did a Google and found this thread...all sorted now
