  • Nitro Help !?

    Last weekend I crashed my Synergy N5 into a hedge .. Inverted backwards ... I know ..

I have now rebuilt it but the rotor head is pretty stiff to turn, it's not the belt tension as it is still turn to turn without the tail assembly on.

I have replaced most of the common parts, Main shaft, Main gear, Bearing block bearing. Everything has been installed correctly.

Could I have done something to the clutch ??

Anyway, this afternoon I took the blades off and fueled it up outside, it was really struggling to start and the starter was finding it hard to turn (because of the tightness), after about 5 minutes of constantly trying to get it too start it eventually did, and it just didnt feel right when spooling up, I hit TH and the engine just cut out completely.

    Helppp !!

    Clutch driven down onto engine?

    Clutch/engine out of line?

    Engine moved upwards?

Have you taken the engine out to check the clutch, replaced glow plug etc?

Try clutch owb or one way bearing in maingear

Thanks for the replies, I think my first job will be to remove the engine and see if the tightness is still there, if it is then I know its perhaps main gear bearing.

If you don't align the motor proberly , you can break the end of the starter where goes into one way bearing also.

So this morning I removed the engine, yet the engine seems fine. I noticed the starter shaft had dropped, so I highered it again to it's correct position.

I loosened the belt right off and everything ran very smooth, so I re-installed the engine. Everything seems a little smoother now, but not silky smooth.

I uploaded this video so you can tell me what you think of it.

This video is with the belt loosened.

the pinion meshing to the maingear is too tight! I can hear it!!loosen the bearing block for the clutch bell and slide it away from the maingear a tadge. You need to have a little bit of rock in the pinion if you hold the maingear still (backlash)
Some say my left nipple is the shape of a Raptor canopy.......... And that for fun I chase sheep in wellies 3 sizes too big. All I know is I am 3D Clod

I agree that it did sound like the mesh was too tight, but it wasn't, I kept adjusting it and the sound was still there :/

Then try re-greasing the OWB in the main gear maybe?
