    Quick rebuilds

    Just been over the field with my little 450 and had a pretty hard pile in, did main shaft, main gear, TT gears and boom. Luckily had all these in spares :-) 20 mins later back over the field for a fly. Happy days.

    Wish all my crashes were like this one, think I got lucky, didn't even do the blades lol.

    Anyone else had a formula 1 pit stop repair type turnaround recently?

    Im grinning like a Cheshire cat :-)

        When ever I do a rebuild, in my mind it'll take a few hours... in reality it takes me 1 to 2 weeks funds depending lol.


        They should make helis that bounce, made of rubber or something

          I hear that!! any crash will set me back weeks, cos im skint

            Mine did bounce lol I was fearing the worst on the walk of shame but couldn't believe it when it was all pretty much intact.

              You were pretty lucky by the sounds of things... was it soft mud or something it planted itself in?

              LOL walk of shame.. It allows you a few moments to ponder what you did wrong and also estimate the repair bill

                It was long grass and the ground was pretty soft also I was inverted so the head took the impact which saved the canopy and all electrics. Still can't believe the blades didn't break lol. I was lucky though. I think from now on I should try and crash inverted all the time haha
