  • Would this be a good idea?

Kind of thinking out loud, but if I were to sell my Vision 50 Comp (upgraded to XE) and the OS55 Hyper LE + Power boost pipe, would it be good to then get a Rush 750 and use the CGY750 and align servos in it? I was thinking along the lines of getting a CC120HV ICE2 and 750MX?

Been really impressed with the Fusion and quite like the look of the essentially better 90 version of it. Also, I have to admit I'm being drawn more towards electric flight, although I will still never stop flying nitro.

I can't really afford it but I could always pile in some over time

I agree the Rush does look nice.

If you are swaying towards electric then I say go for it. You still have a 50 sized as a "Hack", and the Vision 90 will give you the option to fly all day with charging lipos.

What do you think the second hand value of your vision 50 would be?

Don't hold you breath for the money you will get for you vision. The motor will get more on its own. No bigger wants them, I took my flight gear out to put in my 630 goblin, sold the engine and beast x off. Sold my airframes to a bloke in Cyprus I think, they went for sod all. As you know, the ely-q brand is all but dead.
      Cheers,

Sorry Harry but Simon is right. Strip the vision 50 down, keep the electrics, sell the engine and unfortunately you'll have to save for just that bit longer... and then even longer still for the batteries! Big question is though Harry, do you still enjoy your Vision 50? If yes just fly it until it dies!

Very little. It's pristine and fully upgraded to the XE spec (which is £330 new ), but as said, no one wants an ElyQ any more. £150 would be lovely but it ain't gonna happen.

I haven't kept up with them closely but I was under the impression they're still an on-going company doing new stuff etc. I know they were releasing an electric version of the Vision 50 etc. Are they biting the dust now as a business or do you mean just the popularity of the brand?

I really liked my Vision Ultimate, although I know it's the heli most people loved to hate :-)

Yeah the electric is out and as far as I'm aware they're still around. Shops are still stocking spares etc, you just never hear news directly from them anymore.
