is there any reason why i cant take the xtal out of one heli which is setup lovely with the tx and put in another heli with same setup and just use the same transmitter settings??both helis are raptors and very very close setups!

No reason whatsoever.

No reason what so ever but you would need to make sure there both built spot on and i mean spot on just having one link say on the head could make one heli need that just bit more trim than the other would, would take along time to get both working on same settings with out having to call up saved trim settingsProud member of the Mk Heli Club
