Just hope someone claims it. As said it does seem the guy selling it has tried to find its owner.

Nope, he found it, he made an effort to find it'd owner, I think he can safely say now it's his!

He says when he found it that it was still beeping so surely he should have handed it in then whilst the loss was fresh rather than wait 6 months and sell it ?
I've tried many diff searches looking for someone that's lost a heli but nothing.

I can't understand why the owner couldn't find it when he lost it ? unless it was stuck up a tree and he couldn't get to it.
There was a similar thread on RCMF where someone was trying to sell a plane he had found on eBay . The poor guy got a barrage of abuse but as far as I know it was returned to its owner. If you guys and girls could post this on other heli forums who knows it might find its way home.

It's sad to think of someone just losing a Trex 500. You'd think if it went in like a normal crash it would be found by the owner, unless it was a case of going out of control and flying away, which is rare.

The only other thing that comes to mind would be if the BMFA has some kind of lost model department.

Not true, Any item if found, should be handed to the police, the police will then attempt to find the owner, if after 3 months they cant, then the item in question becomes yours legally, without handing it , and going through the motions as stated, its theft im afraid.

people are reading what he typed and believing it all, how does anyone know he has actually done anything to find the owner, what is more possible is, that he found it, did nothing, waited 6 months for anything to blow over, then attempt to sell it.
