i have just switched over to a dx7 and whilest doing the change over i went for hs-56mg servos all round (inc tail)(T-REX 450) i now have a serious TAIL WAG i have tried all the basic stuff but its doing my head in any ideas lads???

Not sure about the DX7, but both the JR 9xii (similar software to Spektrum) and the Futaba 9CAP have a default setting where the gyro gain function is sent to channel 7, not channel 5. If the DX7 is the same, then you need to either inhibit the function and use ch 5 as you might have done before, or plug your gyro gain into channel 7 and start using the dedicated gain function.

I use the first option, as I then use the gyro function to control my governor with the flight modes.

Thats a pretty slow servo for the tail also mate which won't help, Increase the delay pot to 25% if you havent done already
