easier said than done that one, on both counts, but we are getting there on the first one.
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

    And a DX8 too

A commitee member has to fly any new model - wow. That is some amazing rule.

I landed out on my hang glider once somewhere in Lincolnshire or Nottinghamshire - next to a model flying field. It was down a fairly long forest track away from the main road. It was a lovely well kept field with the cars all lined up the other side of neatly cut hedge.
I had some time to kill waiting for a lift and watched all the models flying. Never more than two up at once - and mostly it seemed everyone queud up for this old guy to fly their models. He seemed to just fly them and after he landed one, the next one was running ready for him to fly it and the owners didn't get a look in. All he did was fly them round in circuits, nothing fancy while he made remarks about how "she" handled, and how "she" needed a little trim - in fact I don't think I saw any of the models do more than a loop and certainly no prop hanging.

I think it is one of the things that is unique to old gimmerdom, referring to a model plane as "she".

Seeing that club operating definitely didn't get me back into flying R/C models again!

Some years later when I visited our club field for the first time, I ended up flying a wot4 on a buddy box after half an hour of chat. Totally different.
