I'm actually looking at Audi A4's for my next car.. One of the new TFSI's... Only thing is I'm not sure if the saloon boot is going to cause problems with the heli's or not.... ?
Swapped my beloved Toyota 3 Litre twin turbo Supra for a---a---a---Rav 4, so I can get onto our fenland swamp flying field.............
Nooooo, you're crazy! I'd rather take the Supra and walk with my helis and gear haha...
For funflys you do need a fair bit of storage space for all the helis and gear, my car, a medium size hatchback is always full when going to the bigger funflys, so for fun outside of flying I now have a motorbike .
Having seats which fold down is the most helpful thing for helis I say!
Once you wipe the snow off the windscreen..eeer then the Road to the field...then the Field..you can fit ya whole fleet inside ..but have to wait a few months for good weather..so may as well get a single seater race car and sit and wait to fly! HAHAHAHA!
My last 3 cars have all been family estates and I have two kids under 10 to think about transporting when not going flying.
10 Ford Mondeo (size of an aircraft hanger with the back seats down), 60 BMW 318 Tourer (very small inside), and now a 61 Passat (simply the best car I've ever owned, and even bigger inside than the Mondeo)
I've got a 328i Sport coupe which works perfectly well for carrying all my kit to the field but limited space in the boot, but just had the chance of a cheap 318 touring so went for it
This is supposed to be for my better half but as she hasn't passed her test yet I'll have to run it around for a bit to make sure it's all ok
The extra boot space means I'll be taking this to the field for a while
I'm trying to decide between a mondeo or insignia for my next car, leaning towards the sig as I know vauxhalls very well but the mondeo does have more toys!
Del Outrage Velocity 50 N2 FBL, OS55 Powered-Built and almost ready to fly Climb-Out
steer clear of anything made by general motors, nasty horrid things
Some say my left nipple is the shape of a Raptor canopy.......... And that for fun I chase sheep in wellies 3 sizes too big. All I know is I am 3D Clod Very proud to be a Presenter on ROTORS! The RC Helicopter show

I would definitely go for the Ford, My parents have an Smax which is the same chassis in a sense and It's a brilliant car, Ford definitely have there tech packages very good currently.
my rover had seen enough ,so i got a volvo s60 just before xmass and love it, its a really nice car to drive cant say i was thinking about would a heli fit in the boot when i got it but id say i could fit a 90 in the boot also the battery is in the boot so makes it easy to charge if needed or when a 90 size engine becomes a pig to start the dynatron will hook up nice
