Blade CX2 - how to move on??
I've made good progress with my Blade CX2 and will continue to fly it regularly but I need to progress - so what model next?? Ideally, it should not be too big for a large hall but big enough to fly outside in reasonable conditions. I fancy the Blade 400, partly because I'm sold on 2.4Ghz and would like to stay with it. Would the Spektrum DX6i radio with the Blade 400 be a sensible option or would I be better to go for the Spektrum DX7, as a separate puchase and then go for a heli kit minus radio?

A Blade 400 or a trex 450 with Spektrum radio is the best move you can make. A Trex 450 will cost a bit more to get complete but it will teach you how a collective Heli works. They are both helicopters that will be around for a long time so it will be easy to get spares. Make sure your really confident on your cx2 but im sure you can make the transition

Both the Trex 450 and the blade 400 would be ideal next steps for you mate.
The blade would be a plug and play complete with DX6I radio so no messing around but if it was my money i would stretch a bit more and buy The Trex 450 with the DX7 set up just due to the fact if you then later on move on to larger helis the DX7 is more capable as it is full range transmitter.
Also as Adie states building it will give you more understanding of how it all works and so then will help with repairs etc as you have already put it together once.
Stay away from the cheaper helis if you have the money to invest in better, it will pay dividends in the long run as the more expensive helis are more capable as you develope your skills.James
