Not sure, they might be US rated ones(hi power output). But yes I have dealt with Flying hobby a few times and have had nothing but good service.

A friend of mine has the US version and it looks exactly the same as mine with the same battery and every thing.

They will look the same - the issue is around the strength of the signal produced.
The US has a much stronger allowed signal strength than we in the UK do - the US signal strength is illegal in the UK.

so does anyone else know if the ones from flying hobby are uk or us spec?
just thinking as well if it was US spec would i be able to tell and would anyone else anyway?

will uk receivers work with the us TX though?

          cheers neal

I don't know - perhaps an email to Fung will get you the answer?
As far as anyone else knowing...
If you got into an accident involving your heli and your equipment was taken away for inspection, this would reveal the signal strength to be too high (if it was...) and I think, in those circumstances, your insurance would not cover you as the set is not legal in the UK.

            Worth a thought...
            Cheers,

They will all work the same - the only difference between them is the US Tx signal is stronger.

359 dollars +shipping and possible VAT/duty and hassle with any faults.
BRC hobbies DX7/AR7000 no servos 169.99 quid. (229 with the spectrum servos nobody wants) - thats the best UK price I've seen.

I would say if fung's tx has a CE sticker then it should be OK for UK - but for hardly any more I'd stick to a uk supplier and be sure and have UK backup if there is any problem.
Probably inwood would match the price too as they are usually very keen

I have bought a lot of gear from Fung and he is very good, however i would not order a DX7 alone from him as the Uk prices are very competitive.

Are you going for one of his heli bundles that includes the DX7?

I would almost certainly bet that his are not UK spec

yeh i was going to get a trex 450se v2 combo (the full kit) but am thinking twice now about the one with the Tx included.

is the 7ch Rx that comes with the spektrum ok for a 450 trex or should i be getting the smaller 6ch spektrum Rx?

I use the 6100 in mine but the 6200 or 7000 are fine, many people use these.

You wanna check out some of the deals for the 450v2 over here, there are some good prices,i can only suggest you email Fung with any concerns.I know many people using non UK DX7`s over here but mine have CE stickers on them, unlike my calculator and mobile phone now!!! joking of course

                            Tom

Do you mean its in the UK awaiting clearance,or does it still show on Hong Kong post website as being over there?

I have ordered a heli from him in the past, with no problems. I found his price for the dx7 to be not very competitive compared to uk prices though.
