  • 700e packs again

looking for some info from 700 owners. i currently have 6x 40c 4000mah packs for my 700e v2 but i'm putting back 3300mah after 4 mins so i can't take anymore. i really should be taking less but hey ho.

the question really is do i buy some 5000mah packs or buy more 4000mah packs and maybe knock the HS down a little to get closer to the 3000mah? i don't really want to go into the 3.5 mins mark as i simply won't bother flying it and stick with my nitros.

i have read some comments the 5000mah are heavy in the 700? is there a noticable difference?

I think you cant really tell the difference until you have flown them yourself ... as everyone utilises them a bit differently ... I'd say grab a stick, fly it and then make your decision based on that experience ..

I ever had Turnigy 5000 40C in my 700DFC so I couldnt tell the difference anyway - I use the 25-50C Turnigy nano-tech on my 6S 550DFC setup which still works perfectly fine for me ...

What head speed are you running?
The probs with lowering it for you paul is going to be at the expense of cyclic power etc
I reckon you shoud get some 5000 & get that flight time up to 5 mins myself rather than compromise.

I'm running the cheap as chips 5000mah 20c turnigy packs. At 60 quid a pair they are difficult to ignore.. They provide all the power I need for my flying ability! I'm running 2050 headspeed and my flight time is 5 minutes.

          Re: 700e packs again

5000 gens aces in my 700DFC, around a 4.5 min flight and about 25% left in the pack.

Used to run Blue Turnigy 5000mah 20C in my 700E and could easily get 5 mins with mix sports/3d stuff,,, H/speed was 2000 and MX Motor.

When I gave my mate a flight with this setup, he said it felt like it was on heavy expo and rates combined!!! He managed a proper 3d flight of 4 mins and the cells came down a bit more warmer than usual . In the end I think it comes down to your style of flying,,,,
